The Australian Psychological Society recommends psychologists charge cancellation and non-attendance fees to promote client attendance, cover running costs, reduce waiting lists, and ensure those most in need of appointments receive a timely service.
While it can be difficult to predict when you may need to cancel or reschedule a session, we would appreciate at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments can be in high demand, and your early cancellation will give us the opportunity to offer the appointment to another person who may be in dire need of assistance.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend your appointment without notice, a fee will be applied. These fees cannot be claimed through your private health fund or Medicare.
• First late cancellation (<24hrs) $50 inc GST
• Second late cancellation (<24hrs) $100 inc GST
• Ongoing late cancellations (<24hrs) $195 inc GST
• Non-attendance $195 inc GST
• Non-attendance at booked home visit $220 inc GST
*Extenuating personal circumstances will be taken into consideration when deciding if a cancellation fee applies.
Please note that you will not be able to re-book for another session until any outstanding fees have been paid in full.
Kirsten Finn reserves the right to reschedule appointments, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary due to staff illness or unforeseen circumstances.
